(OCT 10) WBAN had the
pleasure to meet a new boxer on the scene, 5'6" Super Middleweight
Demi "Nard 2 Handle" Nguyen, 33 years old, who will be making
her pro debut on October 28, 2005, at the Monrongo Casino, in
California.
Demi met up with WBAN at the All Women's Boxing Card at the Harrah's in
Laughlin, Nevada.
Demi was managed by Jackie Kallen prior to Kallen joining Rock and Sock
Productions earlier this month. She has since surrendered her managerial
obligations of Demi. Demi's head trainer is Dub Huntley.
Demi told WBAN, "He (Dub) is in the Boxing Hall of Fame for
training and boxing. He won the Golden Gloves Middleweight
Championship. The book Rope Burns was dedicated to him, which based the
Academy Award winning movie, Million Dollar Baby. He was also on the
Contender. Dub trains and has trained many of our favorite top boxers."
Demi trains in the heart of Los Angeles,
California, and has now been boxing for 22 months. Demi is very
committed to training and has been training six days a week, and has
spent the last eighteen months as of August 2005, with Hurtley. |
