(OCT 27) Melissa Shaffer signed with Hyungpung
Promotions to fight Cho Rong Son on November 12th in South Korea
for the Vacant IFBA Mini Flyweight Title, as part of a women's
boxing triple header.
“I lost my last fight but I learned a
allot. I believe in the saying that goes " Wisdom is learned from
failure" and the experience I gained from that loss was priceless.
My coaches put the word out that I was looking for fights this October
and we got a pretty good response. We talked to the Dobbs camp, the
Terri Moss crew, and also got offered a shot a Ria Ramnarine in Trinidad
by the WIBA. It was Hyungpung Promotions out of South Korea that were
the first to get a contract to us though, so we took it and feel good
about it.
And as for the future, I want to stay busy at the 102 to 105 pound
range, be the best that I can be, learn as much as I can about the game
and the business, and then help to pass it on to the next generation of
Female fighters.” |
