  Latest News of the WIBA
source: Ryan Wissow
March 3, 2006

WIBA is pleased to announce the formation of 5 regional entities, which will serve as WIBA's local branches around the globe:

WABA - Womens Asian Boxing Association
WABA will serve as WIBA's Asian branch,
Toshihiro Yamaki will be the head chairman of the WABA.

WCBA - Womens Caribbean Boxing Association WCBA will serve as WIBA's Caribbean branch. Molly Boxhill will be the head chairman of the WCBA.

WEBA - Womens European Boxing Association
WEBA will serve as WIBA's European Branch.
Tex Woodward will be the head chairman of the WEBA. Woodward has also been named WIBA's Coaching Advisor.

FEDELATINA - Federation of Latin Female Boxing FEDELATINA will serve as WIBA's Latin American branch. Valentin Contreras is the head chairman of FEDELATINA. FEDELATINA already has 2 champions, with Cindy Serrano as its featherweight champion, and Dahianna Santana is its bantamweight champion.

WIBA is also forming an African Branch.

These regional entities are important, for opening up the sport of women's boxing in many third world countries, deepening the overall talent pool,  and helping the sport continue to grow and evolve by bringing the nations of each region together in sport.

These newly created entities will help distinguish the dominant fighters in each region, and give these dominant fighters the recognision and opportunity that they deserve thru their talent and hard work. these regional titles will give women from all over the world the shot to earn their ratings and work their way up the boxing latter.

WABA, WCBA, WEBA, and FEDELATINA are sanctioning title fights for no sanction fee, the only extra costs of these title fights are for the belt itself, and the travel/lodging arrangements for the title fight supervisor.

if any promoter, manager, or trainer is interested in promoting a WABA, WCBA, WEBA, or FEDELATINA title fight, please email Ryan Wissow with the WIBA, at ryankidsmooth@webtv.net
