WHEELING ISLAND – (MAR 24) – Here, at the Wheeling Island Casino, McKeesport local middleweight woman boxer Natiata ‘Girliegirl’ Porter took all her years of training, in combination with her natural raw talent, into the ring with her tonight and never looked back, winning her first fight, in her first attempt – a very special feeling, indeed.

For any boxer, male or female, there is not a more exhilarating feeling than when your arm is raised in victory.

En route to a 4-round unanimous decision victory, Porter had one anxious moment to contend with in the second round, when her opponent, Gwen Wood, staggered her with a ‘haymaker’ that came from out of no where, leaving Porter’s legs to ever so briefly buckle, but Porter took heart and shook it off, finishing the fight, winning the third and fourth rounds rather easily.

All three judges at ringside scored the fight 39-37 for Porter.
