MAYWOOD, CA (MAR 27) - Following a controversial draw for the vacant WIBA Featherweight title in a match voted 2005 Female Fight of the Year by Ring Magazine, female featherweight sensation “The Natural” Rhonda Luna will return home and to the ring Friday March 31st at the Maywood Activities Center as Top Rank in association with Ray Alcorta’s KO Productions and Showtime present “ShoBox: The New Generation.”

Luna, (10-0-1, 1KO), who is currently ranked No. 2 in the world by the WBC will be featured on the undercard as Top Rank and KO Productions provide Southern California fight fans with a night of seven exciting bouts including the Main Event featuring Middleweight Anthony Thompson (20-1, 15 KO's) who looks to extend his current five-bout winning streak against the always dangerous Anthony Boone (10-4-1, 4 KO's). In the semi-main event, Southern California prospects, Victor Ortiz, (12-1, 8 KO's) of Oxnard, CA, and undefeated Freddie Barrera, (10-0, 1 KO) from Colton, CA, face off in an eight round Lightweight bout. Showtime will televise the two bouts at 11PM ET/PT. Doors open at 5PM, with the first bell scheduled for 5:30PM. For tickets and information, call (213) 219-1105.
