(JUNE 24) Yesterday, WBAN ran a story on "Snippets From Around the World in the News", and we mentioned a "Snippet" of news that was reported, that Laura Serrano of Mexico,  (who was to have fought in Ignacio, Colorado) against "Jackie Chávez or Jayla Ortiz" has learned that neither wishes to fight her.

We invited Team Chávez, Ortiz, or Serrano to contact WBAN to give more details about this snippet.

Team Serrano responded and added the following
about this story:

"The promoter from Sky Ute Casino in Ignacio, Colorado contacted both Team Jackie Chavez and Team Jayla Ortiz regarding fighting Laura Serrano on June 24th. Ortiz's team simply said "NO" they did not want to fight Laura Serrano. Jackie Chavez's manager said that Jackie had just returned to the gym and was not ready to fight as yet.  Other possible opponent's either were already scheduled to fight or simply told the promoter that they did not want to fight Serrano.A challenge has been issued to Jeri Sitzes to defend her NABF title against Serrano at the earliest possible time.
