(AUG 21) WBAN would like to pay a final
tribute to Eliza Olson and her Family for their recent and tragic
loss of Eliza's older brother, Mark Olson. At the age of 39,
Mark passed a way due to a heart attack.
Eliza was very close to Mark, and he is one of the people in her
life that encouraged her to be an athlete.
Eliza told WBAN that Mark was a kickboxer, and that she and he spent
time together going fishing and hiking. She said that Mark was very
supportive of her and her endeavors as a female boxer.

The Word Boxing Council joins with our Lightweight World Champion,
Eliza Olson and her family in mourning the passing of Eliza's
brother, Mark David Olson. At forty years of age, Mark died of a
sudden heart attack while in Tennessee. We know that the value
of a life can not be measured in chronological years, but Mark's
time on earth was way too short. We wish the Olson's healing
