Salandy to fight Reis
source: Press Release
December 21, 2006

(DEC 21) WBAN has received a press release that Giselle Salandy will be fighting Yvonne Reis, at the end of February of 2007. On that same card,  Teresa Perrozzi will fight Scroller Carrington for the vacant WBA Middleweight Title.

WBAN has also received another allegation from Mariem Brakache, that the "rematch clause" of her boxing contract with promoter Boxu Potts is not being honored that stated there would be a rematch after they fought each other on December 9th.  Salandy won that bout by a 10-round unanimous decision, and five world title belts.

WBAN asked Potts about Salandy not being rematched with Brakache. He said that Brakache is coming off of three losses, and the WBA, and WBC, will not allow her to compete without having a win on her records. He said, "Let her try to get past the sanctioning body and I will certainly promote her."

It should be noted that Reis with a 6-10-1 (0 KOs) record,  and lost her last fight against Leatitia Robinson.  Brakache went into this high-profile  "world-breaking" historical bout, with her last two fights as losses.
