Former two-time US Junior National
Champion, Adelaida "Cobra" Ruiz will be competing in her first bout
on Sunday, June 3rd, towards her quest in becoming the 2007 US
National Champion at 119 lbs., at Colorado Springs, Colorado. Ruiz
(31-2) will face number-four ranked Kayla Combs of Lubbock, Texas at
the boxing venue on the campus of Colorado University.
Working Ruiz's corner for this event
will be Robert Luna of the Commerce Boxing Club who trains both
undefeated pro Elizabeth Quevedo, and 2006 Female Golden Gloves and
National PAL Champion Patricia Manuel.
