(JUN 8) On June 23, 2007, at the
Birchwood Manor, in Whippany in New Jersey, Savanna Hill, of
Russellville, Arkansas, will be facing Noriko Kariya, who fights out
of New Jersey, in a six-rounder on the undercard.
An interesting side note to this fight is the behind the scenes to
this bout! Brad Hill of Team Hill/husband told WBAN,
"Strangely enough, my ex-wife, Kerri Hill fought Noriko in New York
on June 10, 2006, and was stopped because of being dehydrated.
We took the fight on two days notice and drained out 12 lbs before
the weigh-in. Anyway, Savanna will not have that problem because she
is the smaller one this time, so hopefully for team Hill, this will
be revenge for the loss that occurred almost one year to the date of
this fight."
