(SEPT 25) WBAN has received an update on WBAN's July 2007 Fighter of the Month, Anne-Sophie Mathis, of France was in South Florida and had a sparring session with Yvonne Reis. 

Bonnie Canino told WBAN, "Yvonne Reis had the pleasure to meet WBA and the WIBF World Champion French Boxer Anne Mathis. We had schedule a sparring session here at the gym in South Florida with Yvonne and Anne. I had looked her up on the WBAN to see her record, weight, height, and experiences. I had notice she fights at 140 pounds and she was only 5’5 according to her biography. I told Yvonne that Anne the boxer was smaller than her and was light. Yvonne and I was in shock at first seeing Ana the boxer, because she was 5’11½  in height and she seemed to be walking around as a Middleweight. Yvonne got a chance to box twice for a six-round sparring session. Both boxers were great, allowing themselves to fight for the love of doing it, going all out. Both boxers showed a lot of skills and heart during their session.  This Boxer Anne Mathis fights at 140 pounds is a big cookie for a Jr. Welterweight and can box."
