(MAR 27) The Colombian boxer Tomas ¨Bomba
¨ Orozco will fight for his first title on March 29, 2008, at the
Jean Pierre Complex of Port Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. He
will facee local boxer Sean Corbin for the WBE (168 lbs.) world
title. Orozco (10-1, 8 KOs), and his trainer, left on
Wednesday night from Panama to arrive Thursday morning at the Pirco
International Airport of Port Spain.
On the same card, Giselle Salandy,
(15-0, 6KOs), will be facing Germany's Karolina Lukasik (9-0, 1KO),
for seven world title belts, that include the WBA, WBC, UBC,
WIBF, WIBA, IWBF and GBU. This shows that Trinidad's Salandy, only
21 years old, is considered to be one of the best boxers at the
moment. The bout will be supervised by Colombian Luis Bello
Diaz, president of the UBC (Universal Boxing Council).
