(APR 5) World Boxing Champion Christy
Martin announced today that her match against Bonnie Mann scheduled
for April 12, 2008 at the Richmond Arena has been canceled by the
promoter of the event.
Martin states, " I was alerted yesterday by my opposing
fighter's camp that Rachel Doherty/Infinity Boxing PROMOTIONS.
has decided to cancel our fight. No reason has been given. I was in
training and fully prepared to fight, but now it looks like I will
have to move this fight to the courthouse".
Martin wanted to make sure her fans were alerted to the promoter's
decision, thus this announcement.
