(MAY 6) WBAN received a press release
today with the full line-up of the all-women’s card that will take
place June 12th, at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville,
Connecticut. The card will be televised on Fox Sports Net’s Best
Damn Championship Fight Night Period card.
In the two mainliners, Lisa “Bad News” Brown will be defending her
IFBA Junior Featherweight title, in a 10-round bout. Also, Elena
Reid will be defending her flyweight title, when she faces face
Anastasia Toktaulova.
On the undercard, Jill Emery will be fighting Cristy Nickel in a
six-rounder. Nickel will definitely have her work cut out for her
taking on this tough challenge; Melinda Cooper will take on Donna
Biggers (Hope Biggers brings a tough game plan to this bout); and
Jeri Sitzes vs. Ela Nunez (that could be a war and a very good
matchup).
