(MAY 14) Today in Las Vegas, Nevada,
photographer Mary Ann Owen ran into light-heavyweight Chris Byrd,
who will be fighting Shaun George at the Cox Pavillion, in Las
Vegas, on an ESPN2 card this Friday. Owen also met up with his
sister, former women’s world champion Tracey Byrd [wearing gun and
badge].
Tracey Byrd, a school police
detective happened to be at lunch at the time. Byrd boxed from 1996
until 2006 when her last fight was against Laura Serrano.
According to Owen, this is one
close-knit family---Their parents, Rose and Joe, always
work Chris's corner.
