Kentikian to fight Toktaulova December 5th
By Torben L/Denmark
December 3, 2008

(DEC 3) Susianna Kentikian (22-0-0) enters the ring for her 7th title defence at Prosieben Fightnight in Halle/Saale on Friday 5th December. The challenger is 31 year old Anastasia Toktaulova (13-9-0) of Russia.

A simple comparison of the two fighters record lists would suggest a fairly easy title defence for the champion, but a closer look at Toktaulova's 9 defeats reveals that all, but one, happened outside her home country, and that several of them with a pretty close margin, against good boxers like Michele Aboro, Wendy Rodriguez (twice), Daisy Lang and Julia Sahin. Anastasia Toktaulova has very good boxing skills and has never been stopped in her career. So Kentikian will have her work cut out for her on Friday night.

The champion, who produced a major upset by KO'ing Mary Ortega in the first round in May this year, has a busy week leading up to the fight. Tuesday she did a public training session and a charity event for "Pro Handicap" who helps the disabled in Halle, Wednesday an outing to Cologne to appear in a TV talk show, Thursday back to Halle for the weigh in.
