Christmas Comes Early for Team Bestfemboxers!
by Team Bestfemboxers
December 12, 2008

(DEC 12) WBAN received an open letter from Team Bestfemboxers. They said the following:

“During our adventures all over the world fighting and training fighters. We gotten an opportunity to train some of our current world champions and now to add to our list----we have the pride and honor of getting one of the best fighters to be seen outside of the USA which is the one and only Emiko Raika, of Japan.

Team bestfemboxers has gotten an early Christmas gift, after fighting Raika three times in the past,  we have now received a call to train Raika.

Raika will be in New York City, training with head trainer Melissa Hernandez and Belinda Laracuente at the great Gleason's Gym. Raika has joined what seems to
be the right choice of team at this point for womyn's [women’s] boxing. We feel that Melissa joined by Belinda [Laracuente] is a flawless team in training female fighters---and not only females, but male boxers at the same time.

Currently Melissa is filming with the show MTV’s Made.  She is the first female to train a male fighter on television.

We thank Japan for this opportunity, and we feel that they made the right choice in training."
