All-Women’s Boxing Gym in Austin, Texas - Austin Boxing Babes!
By Sue TL Fox
January 3, 2009

(JAN 3) Looks like there is quite a treat for women boxers who live in the vicinity of Austin, Texas. There is an All-Women’s Boxing gym that is suited for all levels of boxers.

Austin Boxing Babes offers classes and camps for all levels of interested boxers. The gym is located at 3401-A South Lamar Blvd., and you can contact Austin Boxing Babes at (512) 695-9650.

Julia Feighner, the owner and trainer of this unique gym is a German native, who has been training in boxing and kickboxing since 1996. She trained and taught under amateur and professional boxing and kickboxing coaches in the US and Germany. This gave her a broad understanding of a variety of training styles.
Julia lives with her husband and son in Austin since 2004 and is now studying the martial art Kajukenbo under 5th degree black belt Master Instructor Tony Morel.

Julia is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, and Registered USA Boxing Coach. She taught boxing at the famous Fairtex Academy, San Francisco, taught women boxing seminars and private classes in Freiburg, Germany, and a successful competitor in the amateurs, winning the San Francisco Golden Gloves (2000) and Diamond Belt Champion (2002) State Champion, Germany (1999).

WBAN is happy to see more opportunities offered to women who would like to train in boxing whether they are amateurs, pros, or recreational boxers.
