Fikus to Make Pro Debut in Germany
March 2, 2009

(MAR 2) On April 5, 2009, at the Universal Hall, in Berlin, Germany, Julia Fikus, 24 years old, will be having her pro debut in a four-round bout.  Also known as "the left hook", Fikus has been fighting for over 9 years and won several thai box and K-1 matches. Last year she succeeded becoming a member of the national German team of the WKA (World Kickbox Association) where Julia is currently ranked number 3 in the world up to 55kg.

With her debut on April 5th a dream is coming true for her. Certainly her biggest fan, little daughter Ginger, 6 years old, will also take part on this extraordinary event.  Julia said,  "This is a well considered decision and my family and I have made a lot of sacrifices for this. That's why I will go the whole hog being a pro.”

Her trainer, Daniel Hiller, licensed and certified professional boxing coach considers April 5th to be an important milestone for his protegé. "She definitely has the potential, now she needs to prove it."

In the Main event, Berlin Ahmed Zayab challenges the junior world champion semi-welter weight.
