(JUNE 9)  In an interview that currently appears on You Tube, IFBA and WIBA Super Bantamweight World Champion Lisa “Bad News” Brown (16-3-3, 5Ko’s) called out the opponent who she’s hoping to fight in a unified title defence on August 7th, at the Resch Centre in Green Bay, Wisconsin!.

The fighter Brown would like to fight is the current reigning IFBA Featherweight Champion, Kelsey “Road Warrior” Jeffries (41-9-1, 4Ko’s) of Gilroy, California, USA.

Team Brown said, “Lisa only wants to fight the very best boxers in the world!” and has put the word out to all female boxers at 122 lbs!

Team Brown also made it clear that they are definitely still looking for a fight with Marcela Acuna to unify all of the Super Bantamweight Women’s World Titles. Lisa’s husband and trainer Errol Brown is quoted as saying, “Lisa Brown will fight Acuna anywhere, but we would love to see Acuna come out of Argentina and fight Lisa in Canada!”

Errol also stated that a fight on neutral grounds in the USA would also be fair to both boxers, and challenged Marcela Acuna by saying, “Come and fight Lisa Brown outside of Argentina, and let’s see who the Real Super Bantamweight Champ is!”

With that being said, though a possible Women’s unification fight for the WBC, WBA, IFBA and WIBA Super Bantamweight Titles may also be in the works; it is definitely Kelsey Jeffries that Team Brown currently has their sights set on!

WBAN's Note: This would be a very good and solid matchup.  Both Brown and Jeffries are warriors in the sport.
There are many aspects in making a world championship fight, and hopefully we will see this fight on a card where terms are agreed upon.
