NORTH ATTLEBORO, MA – August 30, 2009 – STRIKING BEAUTIES – the boxing gym for women - is now open to women of all ages and fitness levels on 18 Church Street, North Attleboro, MA. It is the only boxing gym in New England open exclusively to women 24 hours a day. The gym offers authentic boxing training for the aspiring fighter, the fitness enthusiast or women who want to get back into shape.

The gym opened in June of 2009 to give women a boxing gym of their own. “I’ve talked with women from New York City to Australia,” said Dena Paolino, president and owner of STRIKING BEAUTIES. “The response was always the same. These women wanted to get the training of a professional boxer, but most felt uncomfortable in the traditional boxing gym. This is why we started STRIKING BEAUTIES.”

Jaime “The Hurricane” Clampitt, 4-time World Champion Professional Boxer, is the executive director and creator of the STRIKING BEAUTIES boxing program. “I’ve re-created my pre-fight training and have designed a 90-minute program that is a challenging workout for women in of all ages,” said Jaime. “It’s a workout that will knock anyone into shape.”

Members of STRIKING BEAUTIES can kick and punch their way through classes like Pads and Gloves, Muay Thai Power Kick, Bikini Boot Camp, Self-Defense and Small Group Personal Training. There are heavy bags, speed bags, circuit equipment, free weights and cardio machines. The gym also offers a Children’s Boxing class and a Family Fitness night. Interest in the gym is increasing steadily and there are plans to open a second gym in Providence, RI by the end of the year. The goal of STRIKING BEAUTIES is to open gyms across the United States and internationally.
