(MAR 3) Heather Hartman from Hayward, California - Amateur Boxer - Has been accepted to train in the Army's World Class Athlete Program or WCAP and has enlisted with the California National Guard. WCAP is headed up by former Olympic boxing coach, Basheer Abdullah, the last coach who brought home gold for the US boxing team in Athens in 2004. Heather Hartman, who has been in training for 6 years under watchful eye of Virgil Hunter of Oakland, California and trains along side of Andre Ward (2004 Olympic gold medalist in Boxing and new world champion), has her eye on the prize as she will make her journey to the 2012 Olympics. Women boxing in the 2012 Olympics will be a medal sport.
