(MAR 24) MANILA, Philippines – World female boxing champion Ana “The Hurricane” Julaton will shoot for a boxing record as she faces Lisa Brown for a 3rd title in the super bantamweight division on Saturday in Ontario, Canada (Sunday in Manila).

The Filipino-American beauty will attempt to win the vacant World Boxing Association (WBA) title when she clashes with Brown in a 10-rounder at the Casino Rama.

“She’s very tough, she’s very experienced, and she’s a southpaw,” Julaton said of Brown in an interview with 8countnews.com. “I’ll be going out there to Canada, which is her hometown.”

Julaton currently holds the World Boxing Organization (WBO) and the International Boxing Association (IBA) female super bantamweight titles.

A 3rd title would make her the first Filipina to become an undisputed champion.

Julaton currently has a professional record of 6-1-1 while Brown is a veteran with a 16-4-3 record.

The 29-year-old Fil-Am is no stranger in facing boxing veterans.

She won her first title against Kelsey Jeffries, who was a veteran with 40 wins at the time they fought.
