(MAY 16) Former national
amateur champion Patty "Boom Boom" Alcivar 2-0(2KO) turned in a
dominating performance with a fourth round TKO victory over tough
Mexican Laura Gomez 3-2. Alcivar, a two time New York City Golden
Glove champion, threw an amazing high volume of punches with great
accuracy showcasing her brilliant skills.
The tough Gomez who had over 50
amateur fights herself in Mexico showed up to fight with
relentless pressure, however Alcivar did an amazing job of
keeping her at the end of her punches often landing a beautiful
uppercut-left hook combination.
The end came in the middle of the
fourth round with an incredible finish of over 70 punches within
the first minute of the round. The official call was a TKO at
1:06 of the fourth and final round, when the Gomez corner spared
their fighter by throwing in the towel, a bloody towel that is.
