Female Boxing Results from Greece

(JUNE 29)  Minoan Cup - Greece Results: Mary Spencer of Windsor Boxing Club won her division in a final against Germany 9-3 (Gold)  -Mandy Bujold of Waterloo Regional Boxing Club lost in her finals to Sweden (Silver).

All matches were in the Olympic categories. Both female boxers are very strong conteders to be one of the first Canadian women to qualify for the first ever Olympic female boxing matches at the 2012 Olympics.

Boxing Ontario is the governing body for Amateur Boxing in Ontario. As such, it is affiliated with the Canadian Amateur Boxing Association (CABA) and the Association International de Boxe Amateur (AIBA).

Boxing Ontario was founded in the fall of 1972 and has seen a steady growth over the last 30 years. Currently, Boxing Ontario encompasses more than 80 clubs in 5 regions, 900 competitors and approximately 12,000 more recreational members.  (Source: Press Release)
