McLeod-Wells to fight in New York
July 2, 2010

(JULY 2) WBAN has received a press release in regards to an interesting female bout that will be taking place on July 28, 2010, at the BB King Blues Club and Grill, in Times Square, New York.

On this date, Keisher “Fire”Mcleod-Wells steps back into the ring to fight Melissa “Mighty” McMorrow to fight on the undercard in a six-round bout. Both boxers are excellent boxers, with a strong former amateur background.

Also on the card, the event will feature many of the local New York boxers, that will include Argenis Mendez, Gabriel Bracero and Willie Monroe Jr.

Mcleod-Wells (3-1) is coming off a convincing unanimous decision win on March 31st against the undefeated Mexican fighter Laura Gomez. Mcleod-Wells dominated Gomez in that fight, and is now looking for the upcoming challenge against McMorrow (4-1-3) who herself is coming off a points win on May 13th over Gloria Salas.

McMorrow hails from San Francisco, California and has been boxing professionally for 2 years. In that time she has stepped through the ropes 8 times and has only suffered 1 defeat by way of majority decision.
