(JULY 16)  After an active and successful amateur career Palmdale, California’s own Poula Estrada will join the professional ranks on “Rumble in the Desert” card this Saturday July 19th . Rumble in the Desert takes place from 7p.m. to 11 p.m. at The Pioneer Event Center located at 45000 Valley Central Way in Lancaster, California.

Estrada will be making her professional debut against Blanca Raymundo who has 10 professional fights under her belt. Estrada is entering the pro ranks after a stellar amateur career where she started boxing at 11 years old and she amassed 26-4-4 record. Estrada has won the California Golden Gloves, Oxnard PALS, is the 2011 and 2012 Mexican Games Gold medalist, 2011 and 2012 Beautiful Brawlers Champion. Estrada was ranked #3 USA Boxing and qualified for the Olympic Trials in 2011.

“Training has been very tough. Sparring is at another level with the guys. Its challenging juggling both work and training but I am making it work. I love the work I am getting preparing for the fight. I want to make my first pro fight a memorable one for both myself and everyone who comes out to watch.” said Poula Estrada.

Poula Estrada has a slick and crafty style. Her style is crowd pleasing and she brings an action packed style while at the same time being illusive in the ring. She is a new talent coming into the already stacked 112 lbs. division. When I asked her if she had anybody in mind in that division that she wanted to face she stated, “I have three girls in mind that I would eventually love to face off with in the near future.’
