(OCT 20) In what will definitely be a fight to look out for...and attend  is the "trilogy" of the Layla "Amazing" McCarter vs. Melissa "Huracan" Hernandez, that is the mainliner in an eight-round battle. The two will be fighting on Friday, November 21, 2014, at the Orleans Hotel & Casino, in Las Vegas, Nevada, promoted by Platinum Entertainment.

McCarter, 35-13-5 (8KO), of Las Vegas,  last fought on September 30, 2012, when she soundly TKO'd her opponent, Noni Tenge, winning the vacant WBA light middleweight title.  McCarter is a six-time world champion.

Hernandez, a multi-world champion, who has also fought for the prestigious WBAN world title belt, 19-5-3 (6KO), of Miami Beach, Florida, last fought on March 1, 2014, when she defeated Nicole Woods by a eight-round majority decision.

In their two prior fights having fought the first two fights in 2007,  McCarter won the first fight that was scheduled for 12 rounds, three minutes when Hernandez RTD in the eighth round.  The two were fighting for the GBU World lightweight title. In the second bout, Hernandez won the bout by an eight round majority decision for the GBU lightweight world title.  They are now 1-1 with the tie breaker taking place in the trilogy.

WBAN has had the pleasure of watching both of these outstanding fighters in action in the ring, and this upcoming fight is an almost guarantee of being nothing short of a barnburner.
