(SEPT 11)  Six women secured Olympic Trials berths last night (September 10)  at the Pathway to Glory Olympic Trials Qualifier II in Baltimore, Md., on Thursday night. Up the road in Philadelphia, 38 elite men moved one win closer to their own spots with quarterfinal victories at the Holiday Inn Philadelphia Stadium.

2012 World Champion Tiara Brown (Fort Myers, Fla.) punched her ticket for her second straight Olympic Trials with a unanimous decision victory over hometown boxer Amelia Moore (Millersville, Md.) in the lightweight division at the Baltimore Harbor Hotel.

A second two-time World Championships medalist claimed her Olympic Trials spot with a convincing victory in the middleweight division. Franchon Crews (Baltimore, Md.) left no doubt in her bout, winning a fourth round TKO over 2014 Youth Olympian Martha Fabela (Oakland, Calif.) in their semifinal bout.

Two former youth titlists advanced to their first Olympic Trials with unanimous decision victories on Thursday night. Samantha Kinchen (Lexington, Ky.) is boxing in her first elite tournament at the lightweight division and she is enjoying her new weight class. Kinchen won a 3-0 decision over Mioshia Wagoner (Lawrence, Kansas) to clinch her Olympic Trials berth. In the middleweight division, 2015 Youth World Championships medalist Iesha Kenney (Alexandria, Va.) took the final win of the night with a 3-0 win over Cierra Taylor.

Jamie Mitchell (Las Vegas, Nev.) and Giovanna Camacho (Colorado Springs, Colo.) earned the two victories in the flyweight division.

Olympic Trials Qualifier II for Women competition will conclude with final round and consolation bouts on Friday at 8 p.m. at the Baltimore Harbor Hotel.

In men's action, two-time light flyweight national champion Leroy Davila (Princeton, N.J.) made a triumphant return from shoulder surgery with a 3-0 victory over Xenon Mallari (Las Vegas, Nev.) in his first bout of the tournament.

2014 National Champion Christian Carto (Deptford, N.J.) competed close to home in his flyweight contest with Timothy Longoria (Palacios, Texas). Carto advanced to the semifinals with a 3-0 victory in their quarterfinal bout.

2014 light welterweight national champion Abraham Nova (Albany, N.Y.) earned his semifinal spot with a 3-0 win over Pennsylvania native Nahin Albright (Yeadon, Pa.) in their match-up on Thursday.

Age and experience won out in the middleweight match-up between two-time elite national champion Leshawn Rodriquez (Medford, N.Y.) and two-time youth titlist Charles Conwell (Cleveland, Ohio). Rodriquez pulled out a 2-1 decision over Conwell to move on to the semifinals.

2015 USA Boxing National Championships bronze medalist Elvis Garcia (Tacoma, Wash.) returned to the semifinals at another key national event with a 2-1 win over hometown boxer Benjamin Sinakin (Philadelphia, Pa.).

Olympic Trials Qualifier for Men II action moves in to all-important semifinal competition at 6 p.m. on Friday at the Holiday Inn Philadelphia Stadium. All of Friday's victors will earn spots in the Olympic Trials for Men's Boxing.
