Mighty Melissa McMorrow Returns to the Bay Area With Unfinished Business
Source/Press Release
May 30, 2016

(MAY 30)  Unfinished business……the name of the Oakland Boxing show taking place on June 11, 2106 at the historic 16th Street Station is a perfect homecoming for Mighty Melissa McMorrow. The former 4-time WBO World Champion, having not fought since February of 2015, is eager to get back into the ring. “I am excited for the opportunity to fight again at home. It has been five years since I was able to fight in the United States and 7 years since I was able to fight near my hometown. I am excited for a hometown crowd” says McMorrow.

The upcoming fight will be against Keisher McLeod-Wells.  McMorrow and McLeod-Wells fought previously in February and again in July of 2011 splitting their two fights in New York, McLeod-Wells’ hometown. In a very fitting setting McMorrow vs McLeod-Wells 3 will take place in Oakland California, McMorrow’s backyard. The matchup is an interesting one with McLeod Wells standing 5’-8” and McMorrow only 5’-0”. The two will be fighting at flyweight.
