Briana "The Queen Bee" Gonzalez

Super bantamweight Briana "The Queen Bee" Gonzalez, 19, of San Antonio, Texas began boxing at 17 years old at the Rios boxing gym in San Antonio, Texas.  She is coached by Alex Rios and her father Mark Ferrel.

Briana began her amateur career in February of 2015 at the San Antonio Golden Gloves and ending her amateur career at San Fernando's boxing event in San Antonio Texas on March 19, 2016. Her amateur record is 6 wins- 2 loses -3 TKO.

She made her pro debut May 21, 2016 in San Antonio, Texas weighing in at 122.4 lbs. She won by a four-round unanimous decision against Bernadette Palugod, 119½.  Final judges scores 40-36 on all cards.

In Briana's second pro bout, that took place on September 24, 2016,  weighing in at 121.4 lbs, in Albuquerque New Mexico, she had a four-round draw against Katie Ramirez,  121½.

On December 3, 2016, Briana weighing in at 120 lbs.,  had a rematch with Bernadette Palugod, 123¾.   She defeated Palugod by a four-round unanimous decision with all scorecards of 40-36.

Briana told WBAN that boxing is her passion and her goal is to be a  role model for other girls who want to pursue their dream in the sport, and sharing her love for boxing with other little kids at the gym by helping them.  

When she is not "in" the ring and training,  Briana is attending college for nursing.   

Briana's ultimate goal in the sport is to be able to fight for a world title.
