Two Female Bouts Featured on Argentina Card

(JUNE 14) This coming Friday, at the Ce.De.M. N° 2, Caseros, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, there will be two female bouts featured on the card.  

In what is considered a five-star matchup, Marcela "La Tigresa" Acuna, 45-6-1 (19 KO), of Buenos Aires, is set to face Shannon O'Connell in a ten-round IBF Super Bantamweight world title fight where defending her title against O'Connell.  The two will be fighting ten rounds.

Acuna won that title in December 2016, when she defeated Yesica Marcos, winning by a ten-round KO.  Acuna, who has been fighting professional since 1997, is a multi-world champion, and has previously won world title belts with the WBA, WBO, WBC, and WIBA.

Shannon O'Connell, 15-4-1 (7KO), of Queensland, Australia, has been a professional since 2011, in 2016 she was very busy having four pro bouts, three in Australia, and her last fight in New Zealand.   She will come into this fight as the WBC Silver Super Bantamweight champion, and she has won previously the  WIBA Super Bantamweight belt, WBF Featherweight belt along with a Queensland title.

Second Female Bout on the card:

In the Super Featherweight division, Brenda Carabajal, 11-3-0, will fight Gloria Yancaqueo, 3-8-2, in a six-rounder.
