(JULY 22) Lenny Fresquez, a promoter in Albuquerque, New Mexico, has not only promoted men's boxing, but has been supportive of women's boxing. Fresquez currently promotes many male boxers, and New Mexico’s multi-world champion Holly Holm. Last year he was responsible for putting on the highest profile boxing card that featured four women's bouts that were all fighting for world titles. (JULY 12) On Friday, July 10th, at the Trotyl Bar and Lounge, in Petionville, Haiti, there were three women's bouts on the card. On the undercard, junior featherweight Dahianna Santana, 122, won by a third round TKO over Agnes Duzond, 119. The bout was scheduled for four rounds. In a second bout, super featherweight Jennifer Encarnacion, 131, won a four-round unanimous decision over Francoise Louisson Ravi, 128. In a third bout, flyweight Marylin Hernandez, 112, won by a second round TKO over Anna Ramirez, 108. The bout was scheduled for four rounds.
