(MAR 22) On March 19th, at the Palacio Peñarol, Montevideo, Uruguay, in what appeared to be a "rip off" by accounts by boxing fans and media, Hometown queen Chris Namus of Uruguay was announced a winner shortly after her fight with Loly Munoz of Spain by a 10-round majority decision.  On Monday, March 21st, the fight was reversed to a "No Contest".  In the ninth round of the Namus vs. Munoz bout,Namus appears to have been knocked down, and as stated on the site featuring the video they said that Namus....Full Story

(MAR 7) On Friday, March 4th, in Woodhaven, New York, Patricia "Patty Boom Boom" Alcivar remains undefeated with a 4-0-0 (3KO) record when she won by a four round  unanimous decision over Laura Gomez 3-3 of Mexico.  Alcivar set the pace from the opening bell by pressing the action and overwhelming the Mexican fighter. (MAR 3) Mary Ann Owen, one of the top Las Vegas Photographers who covers major boxing cards worldwide, and who has been covering women's boxing bouts for many years, which has included massive coverage on WBAN will have her FIRST book signing in Las Vegas. Owen told WBAN, "My first Las Vegas "Extraordinary Women Of The Ring"  Book signing  is on  Saturday, March 5th, at the Spring Book Fair Clark County Library 1401 E Flamingo Road, Las Vegas, Nevada  hours 11 AM to 1 PM.
