(October 28, 2015) - While the three confirmed finalists enjoyed the first of two rest days at the Olympic Trials for Women's Boxing, three boxers kept their Olympic dreams alive with victories in Thursday's challengers bracket semifinal competition. Carla Torres Pulls upset in Canada:  Torres wins by decision over Olivia Gerula

(OCT 23) Last night at the Club Regent Event Centre, Winnipeg, Canada, presented by King John Boxing, on the "High Stakes Havoc "2 card, in the mainliner, Carla Torres, 126, won by a unanimous decision over Olivia Gerula, 125.5,  winning the WIBA featherweight title against Carla Torres and becoming their new champion.
