Carrine "The Punisher" Hamlett (5'8"
150lbs), was born on April 16, 1970, in Mount Vernon, New York.
Hamlett was raised in New Rochelle, New York. I've been residing in
Atlanta, Georgia for the past thirteen years.
Since the age of five she had always dreamed of being a professional
athlete. Hamlett said, "I have competed in many different sports,
including basketball, baseball, softball and football, just to name
a few. In Junior High School and High School I was selected every
year "All Conference, All-State and Daily News All Stars" throughout
my education. I've had many college scholarship offers from Syracuse
University, Morrisville College, Iona College, Tennessee, Alabama
State and University Of Connecticut."

Prior to boxing Hamlett studied Tae
Kwon Do karate. She trained with Master Cheyenne Crow for eight
years out of New Rochelle, New York. Hamlett also was a karate
instructor for three years.
In 1983, Hamlett met Robert Green who
attended the same karate school as she did. "I remember how I
use to always watch him punch the bag and box all the men. I was
amazed at how hard he would train and I found myself wanting to
learn the sport. At first when Robert started training me I already
knew that I was competitive and I enjoyed full contact, so I had no
problem with getting hit. As time went on, I started training on my
own. Everyday I would hit the bag, shadow box, run, jump rope etc.
Boxing was becoming a big part of my life and I knew then that I
wanted to be a professional boxer", said Hamlett.

In 2006, Hamlett joined a gym called
Alpharetta PAL (Police Athletic League) located in Alpharetta,
Georgia. Hamlett said, "I met a gentleman by the name of Craig
Sconion, who soon became my coach, and later became my manager. He
trains me seven days a week for 2-3 hours a day with a lot of
consistent sparring with men, as well as women."

On March 29, 2007, Hamlett had her
first amateur bout in Macon, Georgia, at The Georgia Golden
Gloves. She fought Geralding McGuire in the 150lb Master Division
and won the title for her weight division.
On August 3, 2007, Hamlett, 150, at the Far West Rodeo, in
Doraville, Georgia, had her pro debut, and lost by a unanimous
decision to Charmaine Carrington, 150½. The judges scores were
35-40 on all cards.
On March 8,
2008, at the Renaissance Hotel, St. Louis, Missouri,
Welterweight Jamie O'Hare, 147, and
Super super welterweight Hamlett,
148,
fought to a four-round Majority draw. Final
judges scores were 38-38, 38-38, and 39-37.
