August 31, 2004 - Philadelphia
In the city of "Brotherly Love", Philadelphia, Jacqui Frazier, 183, of Philadelphia, won a four-round unanimous decision over Carley Pesente, 213 of Connecticut. The fight was originally set to be for eight rounds but was reduced to a four-rounder.

October 11, 2003 -Emerald Queen Casino, in Tacoma, Washington
Valerie "The Wolfe" Mahfood, stopped Carley Pesente, in the fourth round with a TKO.  Photojournalist Mike Blair of Boxing Prospects said the following about the fight, "Carley threw her jab a lot, and she appeared to have the reach advantage, but Mahfood slipped most of them and countered by staying low and landing shots to Carley's body. Mahfood established her position early with the jab, it seemed to keep Pesente off balance and unable to get close. The fight was stopped at 1:33 of the fourth and final round when Mahfood had Pesente against the ropes and was landing some serious blows to the body. Pesente was not happy about the stoppage, and might have been able to continue, though she probably would not have won the decision."  Mahfood moves her record to 14-7-0 (8KO), and Pesente is now 3-7-1 (3KO).

May 24, 2003 - Vallejo, California
Heavyweights Martha Salazar (7-1-243lbs) again used her extreme power to defeat a game Carley Pesente (3-6-1-220lbs) before a small crowd of 300 in Vallejo, CA.  Both sides came out throwing thunderous shots and it looked like a rerun of their first two fights as the two fighters fought toe to toe for most of the first round.  In the second Pesente cornered Salazar and appeared to be making a spirited effort to finish off Martha when something clicked and Salazar rattled off at least eight straight rights to Pesente's head.  Pesente was hurt , but finished out the round.  Returning to her corner her managers realized that it was not her night and threw in the towel.

March 6, 2003 - Farm Bureau Building, Indianapolis, Indiana
Shelby Walker TKO2 Miranda Lynch of Indiana, in a scheduled lightweight four-rounder. In a seconds women's match,
Tanisha Dunn, 201,  (1-1) defeated Carley Pesente, 215, ( 3-5-1) by unanimous decision in a six round match.  The final judges scores were 60-54, 60-53 and 59-55.  Both fighters scored several hard shots and Dunn knocked Pesente to the canvas in the first round.  The fight was loudly cheered by the 1000 or so fans in attendence and the bout was chosen as the "Fight of the Night."

September 21, 2002 - Emerald Queen Casino, Tacoma, Washington
Martha Salazar, 240, won by a four-round uananimous decision over Carley Pesente, 214.  Salazar used her powerful right hand to keep Pesente off balance for most of the fight and landed several hard, dramatic punches to Pesente's head.  Pesente used a defensive posture for much of the fight and could not overcome Salazars power. All judges scorecards were 40-36.  Salazar is now 3-0-0, and Pesente is 3-4-1.

August 24, 2002 - North Dakota
At the Four Bears Casino, in North Dakota, Carley Pesente, 207, 3-3-1 and Denise Callahan, 275, 0-1-1 had a four-round draw. Final Scoring was 38-38, 37-37, and 39-37 for Pesente. WBAN’s insider said that the bout was a "spirited fight" when Pesente came out firing from the opening bell and in the first minute of the round sent Callahan to the Canvas. Callahan responded by getting up and mounting a fierce counter barrage of combinations, pinning Pesente to the ropes with her weight and throwing several hard punches. In the second round, both came out in a slugfest, with both landing several hard punches to each other. Callahan continued to use her weight to her advantage, and to muscle Pesente around the ring---but Pesente landed several hard rights that staggered Callahan. The third and fourth round begin and ended in much the same way with both fighters slugging it out toe-to-toe. Pesente used her speed and quickness to move around the ring, but tended to stop punching after landing her combos allowing the bigger Callahan to counter attack and use her weight to slow the quicker Pesente. The fight won the top honors on the night for being the best bout of the evening. Both sides have agreed to a rematch in the first week in October.

April 13, 2002 - Mahnomen, Minnesota
At the Shooting Star Casino, before a packed crowd of over 2000 screaming fan, Carley Pesente (3-2), 197 lbs., scored a first-round knockout of Margie Jones (3-7), 210 lbs.  According to news sources, Pesente came out throwing combinations  and put Jones on the defensive from the start.  Pesente hammered the outmatched Jones to the canvas twice before finishing her off.  The fight was stopped at 1:07 seconds of the first round after Jones was knocked down and out for the third time. (Jones is the boxer who was called the 48-year old "grandma" who fought Laila Ali.  Jones has to be 49 or 50 years old.)

February 1, 2002 - Keshina, Wisconsin
In Keshina, Heavyweights Carley Pesente, 203, TKO2 Jeanine Tracy, 193.  Pesente made a short night of this evening when she evened her boxing record to 2-2 (2KO), after she  pounded Tracy with several hard body shots during the course of the first round.  At the end of the round, Tracy went back to her corner and refused to come out for the 2nd round.

September 9, 2001 - Springfield
First female pro fight in Springfield. Carley "The Hammer" Pesente, who is a Connecticut- licensed pro, scored a TKO over Carmilita Pennington of Woodbridge, Va., at 35 seconds of the third round. Pesente has won her first professional bout and is now 1-2-0 (1KO).

May 16, 2001 - Kansas City, Missouri

Public Challenge To Jacqueline Frazier -October 2000

Hey Jacqueline Frazier, What gives you the right or thought to be thinking that you should be able to fight Lalia Ali for a big fight/purse? You have not put in your time in the gym and you certainly have not fought anyone that would qualify for you to fight her. Ali has at least fought some notable fighters, Kendra Lenhart and Karen Bill. Who have you fought? Nobodys!! All of your opponents were chosen, not for their skills, but for their lack of skills. Your promoter makes promises that he will not or cannot keep. (ie, I was told in May that
I would be your next opponent after your fight in New Haven, CT yet neither my manager or I have heard from him.) I know why you will never take the chance at fighting me. That is because then your record will no longer be unblemished. You are always on TV talking about how you are the real deal and that you can beat anyone. Well prove it. Fight me and see what you've got. I fit into the mold of the type of fighter your promoter is looking for. I have limited pro experience and no amateur background. The only thing I have going for me is that I am an athlete who puts her time in the gym and also pursues other athletic pursuits. In other words, the perfect opponent for you. Let's get it on!! Or will you continue to hide behind your words and not back them up. Carley "The Hammer" Pesente
