5’4, 126lbs, Featherweight, Stacey “Stay-Lo” Reile, lives in Miami Beach,
Florida. She is trained by Jorge Rubio at the Miami Fight Zone boxing club
in Miami Beach. Stacey started her boxing career in 1998. Reile is a
certified massage therapist with famous clients such as Calvin Klein, Queen
Latifa, Russell Simmons, Al Roker, Carlos Ponce, and Rosyln Sanchez. In
addition, Stacey has attended various post secondary institutions such as:
Mohawk Valley Community College, The Florida College of Natural Health, and
Gold Coast Real Estate School. Stacey plans to become a real-estate agent in
the near future.
Stacey was born and raised in Utica, New York and attended high school
there. Reile had a lot of misguided anger and needed a change so she moved
to Miami Beach, Florida. Stacey took up boxing in 1998 after she met a
Swedish boxer named Lena Akesson. Akesson who was signed with Angelo Dundee
invited Stacey to her gym. Stacey had been lifting weights two years prior
and thought boxing would be a perfect fit.
Dundee’s head trainer, Luis Lagerman took Stacey under his wing and began
training her. During this period Stacey absorbed a lot by watching the world
class boxers and champions train at the gym.
Stacey had two amateur matches; the first took place at the Florida State
Golden Gloves tournament in 2000 where she won by a walk over in the 126
pound division. Her second amateur bout saw her defeat Vanessa Ramos.
Stacey parted ways with her trainer and switched gyms and started training
under Isiah Clark and Benny Collins at Warriors boxing. Stacey trained there
for roughly eight months however the gym was located too far away from her
massage cliental in Miami Beach so she had to switch gyms again. Stacey next
attended the Fight Club gym for about a year where she had the privilege of
training with Glenn Johnson while he prepared for his respective Roy Jones
and Antonio Tarver matches.
During her stay at Fight Club, and with no trainer Stacey (133lbs) won her
pro debut on July 24, 2004, in Boynton Beach, Florida, by knocking out
Myriam Bazile (136lbs), also of Miami Beach, in the second round. Stacey
felt she was not getting the adequate training at Fight Club that she
required and was then referred to Jorge Rubio at Miami Fight Zone.
On March 13, 2005, in Tokyo, Japan, Stacey (125lbs) won her second match
against undefeated and supposed “knockout artist” Riyo Togo (126lbs) of
Japan, by a four round unanimous decision. Stacey controlled most of the
action over the four rounds keeping Togo at bay with an effective jab and
good right hands that took their toll. Reile became stronger as the bout
went on and had Togo stunned at certain points throughout the bout. In the
third round Togo went to the canvass after a left hook to the body but the
referee ruled it a slip. Stacey felt it was a clear knockdown.

In her spare time Stacey enjoys running with her boxer Dempsey as well as
hanging out at the beach. In addition, Stacey designs her own clothes,
models, and frequents the many professional boxing events held around the
Miami area.
On October 1, 2005, in Roppongi Velfarre, Tokyo, Japan, Reile,
126 won by a unanimous decision over Ariya, 2-4-0, of Japan. Final
judges scores had all cards as 40-36.
