Growing up, Olga was an excellent
athlete and enjoyed running, playing basketball, fencing, and
Tae-Kwon-Do. She started kick boxing and won the amateur world title
at 120 lbs. in San Jose, California, in 1995. One day, she saw a
boxing match on television between Ramona Gatto and Natalia
Lareonova. She was 17 years old. She was so excited about boxing
that she started training immediately, never imagining that she
would eventually fight and beat both Ramona and Natalia.
She had about 30 kick boxing bouts and
20 amateur boxing matches with only 2 losses. Titles she has won
include: The Tae-Kwon-Do Siberian Championships in both 1991 and
1992, the Muay Thai Russian Title in 1993 and 1994 and the Russian
Kickboxing Championship (ISKA) in 1993, 1994, 1995, and 1996. She
also won the ISKA/IKF World Title in 1995 and in 1997 the Russian
Amateur Boxing Championship.
Olga's hobbies include fishing and
making friends. She has moved from Moscow, Russia to Ft. Myers,
Florida and signed with Steve Canton of the SJC Boxing Club. She has
fallen in love with the beach, boating, the climate, and the people
of Southwest Florida. Olga is studying English, and loves to read
and write poetry. She also loves music and hopes to learn to play
the guitar. Olga's goal is to train hard, learn all she can, and
become a world champion. She is looking forward to making her
professional debut and hopes to attract a big following. Olga stands
5'7" tall, is right handed, and weighs between 130-135 lbs.
