(NOV 3) I would like to give an update to many of you who have been
following what has been going on behind the scenes with me in regards to my
brother, Jim.
To get some of you up to speed on what has
been going on....my brother, Jim, appeared to be getting better after
nearly dying about five weeks ago, from an aneurym of his aorta, and having
emergency surgery to fix that condition.
It was touch and go with many complications
throughout these weeks, and everyone in my family, including myself took on
many responsibilities to try to keep Jim’s life outside of the hospital
intact....
Jim was actually to the point of being on a
hospital ward receiving physical therapy and we were all hopeful that
he had made it through the dangerous waters of what had happened to him.
Jim, had a trach, and did not eat food for
that five weeks but was receiving nourishment through a tube.
Jim could not have looked better
yesterday, as we attended the physical therapy session and he was to the
point of being able to walk a little bit, etc.
Then out of no where, I received a frantic
call from a family member last night, that Jim had stopped breathing. I
rushed to the hospital, and just as I tried to enter his room, a physician
came out, and told me that my brother had died.
Needless to say, my family and I were
shocked, and are extremely saddened by this event.
I do want to thank all of you, who supported
me personally through this rough five weeks of personal turmoil and grief
that has struck me and my family in a way that cannot be described. |
