(NOV 14) Ana María
Torres of Mexico (10-1-1 with 7 KOs), whose fight last October for the
WIBF world bantamweight title held by Anita Christensen fell through
when the Dane cancelled at the last minute, is preparing to dispute the
vacant WIBA bantamweight title with Ada Vélez somewhere in the US in
March, according to her agent Douglas Terry.
Not having fought
since the 23 March this year, when she TKOd Lakeysha Williams in the
fourth in Las Vegas, Torres is planning a warm-up fight in her home town
of Ciudad Nezahualcoyotl on the 10th December, in which her opponent is
likely to be Ofelia Domínguez of Sinaloa.
