night at the Orleans Hotel & Casino, in Las Vegas, Nevada,
Layla McCarter
rematched
with
Dominga Olivo,
fighting three-minute rounds, scheduled to go eight---but she
stopped Olivo in the sixth round.
And right off the tail end of that fight---McCarter is set to fight
Jelena
Mrdjenovich
of Edmonton, on March 28, 2008, in Edmonton, Canada.
This is the third
time the two will fight (All in Edmonton), with a record of 1-1,
(McCarter winning the first fight--Mrdjenovich the second).
McCarter will be defending her WBA lightweight belt in this third
rubber match.
McCarter said, "I stopped Dominga, now I am coming after you
Jelena." McCarter added, "You are not going to the distance." |
