Terri Harper Defends her Belts against Natasha Jonas at the Matchroom Fight Camp
by Sue TL Fox
August 2, 2020

(AUG 2)  This coming Friday, at the Matchroom Fight Camp, in Brentwood, Essex, United Kingdom,  Terri Harper, 10-0-0 (5KO), will be facing Natasha Jonas, 9-1-0 (7KO), where she will be defending her WBC and IBO Super Featherweight World Titles. The two will be fighting ten rounds.

This should be a barnburner of a fight as "Idols become rivals: History will be made at Fight Camp on August 7th with the first ever all British Female World Title clash between champion Terri Harper and challenger Tasha Jonas. The WBC and IBO belts are on the line in our week 2 main event." Source/Youtube

Harper's last fight before the Pandemic reared it's ugly head, was on February 8, 2020, where she defeated Eva Wahlstrom, where they were fighting for the WBC and IBO Super Featherweight world title.

Then everything stalled to a halt in the sport---and we are happy to see that women's boxing is beginning to flourish with the help of promoters as Eddie Hearn who is now making accommodations to have the boxing events at the Matchroom Fight Camp, and available for boxing fans to view it without being present at the fights.

Jonas last fight took place in November of 2019, where she found a non-title bout against Bianka Majlath, where she won by a second round TKO in a six round bout.

Check out the fantastic grounds of the Matchroom Fight Camp that these fights and others will be taking place.

In addition to the female bout that will be featured on the card, there are four schedule male bouts.  In one bout, Chris Billam-Smith will be fighting Nathan Thorley, 12 rounds, for the Commonwealth  (British Empire) Cruiserweight title; In the battle of the super welterweights, Anthony Fowler will be fighting Adam Harper, 10 rounds; Aqib Fiaz vs. Kane Baker, lightweights, eight rounds; and Ivan Price vs. Jonny Phillips, featherweights, unknown rounds.
