Three of the biggest women’s boxing
stars of this generation
December 27, 2023 |
Although it is not often spoken about very much, women’s boxing
is just as big as the male counterpart sport. Starting in 1876, with
the first female boxing match being held in the US, boxing has moved

first-ever match was a “silver butter dish,” today’s winnings are
more in line with what the male boxers are awarded (which is a
relief, because how inappropriate would a kitchen-related prize be
for women now? We’re betting that one was organized by men, that’s
for sure!).

Pioneer Female Boxers Struggles:
Right To Fight Documentary by Sky Sports
July 13, 2023 |
(JULY 13) It has been a long process to see this amazing
documentary made on the pioneers in the sport of women's boxing.
I am proud to have been some part of
providing history in this documentary that has
been produced by a great staff of people from Raw Productions. Sky Sports writes: "Against this backdrop, women from all walks
of life decide to forge a path into the most macho of sports:
boxing. They are mocked and patronized, told that women are too
delicate to fight, and their attempts to secure boxing licenses
are rejected. But time and time again, they pick themselves up
from the canvas and continue the fight, taking the New York
State Athletic Commission to court and igniting a movement
across the country that will change the face of boxing forever.
