(JAN 8) LAS VEGAS, NV - The premier celebratory event in Women’s boxing, the International Women’s Boxing Hall of Fame Induction ceremony, has scheduled it’s ninth event on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at the Orleans Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

This is the second consecutive year the event will be held in the country’s boxing capital and “celebration 2022” IWBHF event expects to continue to draw a full house attendance that has epitomized this event since it’s inception.

So without further ado…Historic Highlights of this Year’s event:

To begin with in 2022, this year is the largest class of inductees being inducted----16 IWBHF Inductees!

In an interesting history-first  we have a daughter, retired world champion Tracy Byrd, and mother Rose Byrd being inducted into the hall of fame at the same time.

Also.....this will be the first time that two of our other inductees, Eva Jones-Young and Eliza Olson will be inducted in two hall of fames in 2022---Not only inducted in the IWBHF, but other hall of fames in the same year!

And…for the first time…. we will be inducting a boxing commissioner. Rose Trentman, who served many years as a New York Boxing Commissioner is one of our elite 16!

First time in history-----Twin sisters both will be in the IWBHF hall of fame. Dora Webber was inducted in 2021, and her twin Cora Webber in 2022!

Our other 2022 IWBHF inductees are Thomas Gerbasi, Jimmy Finn,
Susianna Kentikian, Fredia Gibbs, Brooke Dierdorff, Delia Gonzalez, Yvonne Reis , Hannah Fox Tori Nelson, and Margaret Sidoroff.

In addition there will be special award presentations, recognizing contributions to the sport, made to Lupi Beagle Gutierrez, Eddie Montalvo, Jerry Hoffman (Posthumous); a special award to pioneer boxing sisters, Darlene Buckskin and Theresa Kibby (posthumous) for their history first of being the first Native American pro sisters that entered the sport in the 1970's. Along with that a Lifetime Achievement award that is going to Bonnie Canino.

Also, three previous IWBHF inductees who were not able to attend our event due to circumstances, which include Valerie Mahfood, and tentatively (Marischa Sjauw and Sharon Anyos two of our International Inductees depending on travel restrictions). Mahfood is confirmed and Sjauw and Anyos are tentative.

We have Coyote Duran of Chicago, Illinois, “Coyote Duran’s Creation Nation” who is part of our IWBHF event who will be utilizing his talents as an artist to present some beautiful rendition(s) of our 2022 event. Duran said that when he was very young before he had become a writer and copy/content editor for RingTV.com, he began his journey into drawing---and with bit of imagination and a huge love affair with comic books and more.

We have also invited the very talented singer “The Wy Mac” who was featured on “Ireland’s Got Talent” to perform our “theme” song of the 2022 Celebration! She also was part of our event in our 2020-2021 IWBHF event.

In addition to the above, at this time, our special guests and celebrities that are scheduled to attend are the following: Iconic boxing celebrity Christy Martin who is affiliated with our IWBHF event, “Christy’s Champs”, retired world champion Lisa Holewyne; Layla "Amazing" McCarter (current eight-time world champion, and WBAN’s 2020 “Most Avoided female boxer in the sport); Boxing Trainer and Manager, Luis Tapia; retired World champion Wayne McCullough, his wife Cheryl McCullough; retired world champion Chris Byrd; Jill Morley, producer/director of “Fight Like a Girl” Productions; Brenda Zaragoza; top past photographer history-making Linda Platt;  Blanca Gutierrez (three-time Hall of Famer, and founder/president of the Beautiful Brawlers; retired multi-world champion and hall of famer Daisy Lang (who will be one of our key speaker); J’Marie Moore, retired pro boxer and daughter of Archie Moore; Los Angeles photographer Nate Wren, and many more!
