(MARCH 23)  Exclusive interview: Zulina Munoz faces Yamileth Mercado on April 2. She's fully aware of what her next target is if she claims victory.

Zulina Munoz is targeting a fight with Amanda Serrano. The heavy-handed Mexican faces Yamileth Mercado next month with the WBC super-bantamweight title at stake.

If successful, Munoz’s attention will switch to April 30 when Serrano clashes with Katie Taylor at New York’s Madison Square Garden, live on DAZN.

The fascinating battle, the biggest female fight in boxing history, has captured the imagination of many, and that includes Munoz.

"Who says I can't fight her [Serrano] and beat her,” said Munoz when speaking with DAZN.

“Right now, Amanda is "La Canelo" of women's boxing, everyone wants to fight her because they know there will be a good show, a good stage and most importantly, a good purse.”

Munoz added: "I hope that after this fight [Serrano vs. Taylor) the doors will open even wider for us. In the United States women's boxing is opening more, but until this fight we had not had such an important fight that they gave it the value it deserves.”
