Next Hall of Fame event to plan! International Women's Boxing Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Event - Saturday, October 22, 2022,  Orleans Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada!  More Info and Tickets

(APR 30) It has been a long haul for women’s boxing. For countless years, females being told that women’s boxing was not wanted or accepted. Through 24 years of covering the sport on WBAN for amateurs and professionals and witnessing the terrible lulls and the hopeful highs of the sport----it is wonderful to see tonight's card that will take place at the Madison Square Garden, in New York.

On this card they are featuring two female bouts, that include for the first time in history at the Garden females being the main event which will be Katie Taylor, 134½, of Ireland vs. Amanda “The Real Deal” Serrano, 133½,  The two will be fighting for  the WBC, WBO, IBF and WBA Lightweight titles in a ten round bout. Both are multi-world champions with Serrano being WBAN's two-time P4P title holder when she fought Heather Hardy and defeated her in 2019 in the featherweight division; and in 2017 when she defeated Yazmin Rivas in the Super Bantamweight division.

Also on this card, Franchon Crew-Dezurn, 166¾  will face Elin Cederros, 167¾.  The two will be fighting for the WBO, WBA, IBF, WBC Super Middleweight titles in a ten round bout.  Catch the boxing action on DAZN.

WBAN hopes that after all of the struggles we have witnessed throughout the years that this upswing of this high profile card will continue to provide great opportunities for many of our top female boxers that are in the sport today!
