Countdown to Guinness Boxing Class Record

(MAY 10) At the WBC weekly conference, WBC President Mauricio Sulaimán, and Javier Ariel Hidalgo Ponce, Director General of the CDMX Sports Institute, reported the progress of the initiative launched by the Head of Mexico Cty Government, Dr. Claudia Sheibaum…the Massive Boxing Class, which will set a Guinness record.

An initiative that not only seeks to break a Guinness Record, but also send a clarion message to the world that Mexico is a country of boxing plus passion for sports.

Javier Hidalgo said that this boxing class is the combined work of many people who continue with the strategy of making Mexico City, promoting sport as the best ally to make a healthier society.

He thanked everyone who attended the Monument of the Revolution last Saturday where a totally free training course to get the engines ready for this coming June 18, the date on which this massive class will be a world beater!

Javier announced that the citizens have shown great enthusiasm in being part of a historic moment for Mexico, since there are already thousands of participants who have signed up for the massive class, including more than a thousand boys and girls.

However, the largest participation is expected to be from young people between 14 and 25 years old, however, records have also been set for the elderly, which shows the enthusiasm of the Mexicans.

The challenge of breaking this Guiness Record will not be easy since the training must be constant and each group must keep going for 30 minutes. Those who do not reach that time limit will leave the competition, so prior training will be key.

The training will take place on weekends in three different venues in the capital and all of them will be taught by world champions as well as expert boxing trainers.

I have reminded the population that to participate in the Massive Boxing Class it is necessary to register online through the page:https://clasemasivadebox.cdmx.gob.mx

For Mauricio Sulaiman, this class will be a great national celebration, because Mexico is the hotbed of champions and today all citizens will be able to be part of boxing, to live it alongside the legends of the sport and our champions. Everyone is invited everyone to make history with boxing in Mexico.
