Mizuki Hiruta Wins by Unanimous decision over Carla Merino Winning the WBO Super Flyweight Title

(MAY 18) Last night at the Commerce Casino, in Los Angeles, California, on the "Hollywood Fight Night" card, Mizuki Hiruta,  of Tokyo, Japan, defeated Carla Merino, of Cordoba, Argentina,  in a 10-round unanimous decision.  Hiruta remains undefeated with a now 8-0 (2KO).Merino is now 16-2-0 (4KO).  Final judges scores 98-92, 98-92, and 99-91. Hiruta won the WBO Super flyweight world title.

Hiruta’s utilized her speed and agility throughout the fight with Merino, effectively avoiding her opponent's advances. Final judges scores were  98-92, 98-92, and 99-91 in favor of the Hiruta.

While Hiruta fought very well,  Carla Merino deserves recognition for her resilience and tenacity in the ring.

Winning the WBO Super Flyweight title is no small feat, especially for a fighter still climbing the ranks. For Mizuki Hiruta, this victory opens the door to new opportunities and challenges in her career.
