(APR 25) FOZ DO IGUACU, Brazil (dated: April 23, 2026) – USA Boxing’s Elite High Performance Team closed out day four of the 2026 World Boxing Cup – Stage 1 in Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil, with two victories from its women’s side. Noelle Haro successfully opened her tournament in the women’s 51-kilogram bracket, while Marie-Angelis Rosendo secured her second win in three days in the women’s 65 kilogram division.

Haro (51 kilograms) was the first American boxer to enter the ring on Thursday and battled back after trailing 3-2 in the opening round. She secured a hard-fought 3-2 victory in her tournament and international debut over Canada’s McKenzie Wright. The Texas native advances to the quarterfinals, where she will face the Dominican Republic’s Esther Jimenez on Friday, April 24.

Rosendo (65 kilograms) won the first round after swaying three judges with 10-9 scores in the opening three minutes. She then made a strong start to the second round, taking it 4-1 and ultimately securing a 4-1 split decision win over Poland’s Kinga Krówka in the Round of 16. She advances to the quarterfinals, where she will face Belgium’s Oshin Derieuw on Friday, April 24.

Lorenzo Patricio (55 kilograms), Marcus Luther (65 kilograms), and Yoseline Perez (54 kilograms) also represented the Stars and Stripes on day four.
